GREATER CARLYLE ANNUAL MEETING
The 2023 GREATER CARLYLE Annual Meeting was held on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Vandalia Bowl.  OPEN & WOMEN'S Tournament checks were available at this meeting.  All unclaimed checks were mailed.

The new GREATER CARLYLE BOWLING ASSOCIATION
  As of August 1, 2018 the Greater Carlyle Bowling Association  will provide services for its men, women, and youth bowlers.   In addition to an awards program for all bowlers, the GCBA will offer numerous tournaments for all of its members.  We will offer a Scratch Tournament and an Open Handicap Tournament for all our members as well as a Senior Scratch Tournament for all of our members over the age of 50.  Our female bowlers will also have their own tournament.  Our Youth Bowlers will have  their own tournament as well. Our new Association Number is 86694

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY FOR TOURNAMENTS:
In the case of inclement weather, bowling may be rescheduled based on a case by case scenario.  If the bowling center does not open due to inclement weather, bowling will be rescheduled.  You will be contacted if the bowling center does not open.  If the bowling center does open during inclement weather, but you feel it is not safe for you to travel, rescheduling will be permitted upon request by calling Tim Rutz.  My number is 618-654-9840 (home) 618-401-8035 (cell).

The 2024 GCBA OPEN & WOMEN'S Tournaments will be held at Hanks Bowl (team event) and Vandalia Bowl (singles & doubles).

2024 ILLINOIS HIGH SCHOOL TEAM STATE CHAMPS
Congratulation the SALEM HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BOWLING TEAM for winning the 2024 Illinois High School Association Boys Team State Championship for the second consecutive year.

GCBA SENIOR SCRATCH CLASSIC
GENE BRADTKE won the 2023 GCBA SENIOR SCRATCH CLASSIC at Hanks Bowl on November 5th.

JACKIE RATERMANN won the 2023 GCBA Women's Scratch Classic at Vandalia Bowl on December 10th.

GCBA SCHOLARHIP
The deadline to submit an application for the GCBA Scholarship is APRIL 1, 2024.  GCBA will award two $500 scholarships, one for a female bowler and one for a male bowler, in their senior year of high school.

2023 GCBA HALL OF FAME/AWARDS BANQUET
 MIKE MINEMAN was inducted into the Greater Carlyle Hall of Fame at the GCBA Hall of Fame/Awards Banquet November 4th at Michaels Restaurant in Highland.  Tournament winners and Honor Score Bowlers from the 2022-23 season were also be honored at the banquet.
